About Nandana Yoga

The Sanskrit word nandana combines the idea of happiness and joy (nan) with generosity and giving freely (dana).

The mission of Nandana Yoga is to pave the way for cultivating joy, happiness and well being for children, families and adults through the practice of yoga. As a tree sprouts from a seed, develops strong roots to grow a steady trunk, and branches out to share its fruits, Nandana Yoga plants the seeds of wellbeing by creating inner and outer strength, mental and physical flexibility, and the ability to find peace and relaxation. The fruits of our trees nurture children who blossom into healthy, confident aware adults who are ready to engage with the world, sharing joy, happiness and compassion with friends, families, and communities in the wider world.

Nandana Yoga supports children, families and adults on their journey toward wellbeing through many types of yoga classes, training and workshops.

-Yoga classes for children from toddlers to teens and adults

-Family yoga classes
-Workshops/classes to address specific needs of families, such as a back-to- school family class.

– Workshops for people working with children in a variety of ways – school counselors, healthcare professionals, academic tutors, occupational therapists and others whose work focuses on the well being of children
